Dyno tuning the LX9 ITB setup

Post by Shaun41178(2) »

I got it street tuned and its ok to drive around. I got some dyno time scheduled.

Looking at 13-14 lbs for max boost. Then try it with a 30 shot. Gonna play with the timing to see how much that adds if any. Right now base timing is set to 8 degrees btdc

Give me your hp and tq guesses.

Turbo lx9 3.5 with ported heads and custom itb intake

Why not put it into desktop dyno and just put those numbers as your sig.

My guess is 380/410.

Fuckn' A man, nice numbers! Your fiero would smoke my FD. Hoping to get around 450whp with mine, getting more docile in my old age.

Well shame on me for shorting you.

Is that with or without nitrous?

No correction factor? You could easily find another 100whp through an arbitrary correction factor you can't explain. :-D

No nitrous. So there is more left in the setup.

I did spray a test run for only about 1k rpm to see what would happen. I picked up about 30 hp and 80 lb ft of tq. Lol. I am gonna upload a video of that. I don't have a dyno chart of the nitrous pull cause it was pointless but I could go back and get it if you guys absolutely insist. I think its pointless cause I didn't do a full pull with it.

I am guessing I would have been in the 550-560 whp range if I took it to 6500 rpm.

Sae correction factor was 520. Real hp was 530.

I just sold the itb setup and heads so no track times will be achieved. New owner wants to do a NA setup and maybe turbo later into his 88 formula

Possibly selling car as a roller. Parting it out is too much work. I have a new project car that is a better platform.

If I could sell it as a roller I would. Spread the word. 88 formula 5 spd.

video of test hit of nitrous on dyno. only went to maybe 5k rpm or so. not a full pull. you can see me push the button then you hear the engine start singing.

Do you need Ritalin for that ADD?

530 RWHP and 2900# with excellent traction is a tough customer... You going with a turbo C6 ZO6?

Its prob closer to 2700 with me in it. I pulled close to 300 lbs out of it.

It needs suspension work. It drives fine but with this power I dont trust any of the original parts. It needs torn down and all new bushings and bolts, springs shocks, etc.. Its more work than I want do to right now because I have a feeling a lot of stuff is gonna break on removal and be a total pain in the ass.

I'd look at getting a lower mile v6 5 spd for a 3900 swap vs tearing thia one apart.
