changing instrument cluster bulbs

Post by shemdogg »

Hows it done? I got a few pieces off, broke the clear bezel, but dont see how the rest comes off. Only the ebrake light and check engine light work. Also fuel gauge not working so thatll need to come out too. Any help appreciated

The back cover of the gauge cluster comes off allowing you to access the bulbs. It is not done from the front per say.

The back cover could be mistaken for a part of the dash but its a removal cover on the backside of the gauges. Its a trim piece is the best I can describe it

The bulbs are just screwed into the back of the cluster with a round barrel shaped plug that has a flat extrusion across the diameter. No need to remove gauges. Just remove the trim piece on the back side and unscrew the bulb socket to change.
