I have a line on a free crate 3.4 DOHC so I want to build it up with the F23 and whatnot so I can just swap the whole thing in in a day.

Cool. Going to do anything to the motor or no? Your current one has some interior work done, lIke the oil drain flashing smoothed over, so I'd think you're planning something!
