Autocross

Post by CincinnatiFiero »

We had our second, and as of right now, final autocross of the year, as per usual the cars were diverse and obscure. Turns out Mercedes tried to be like BMW in 1990 and made some cooling system parts on my euro 190 out of plastic, in my first lap of the day my plastic thermostat housing burst. When I called Mercedes to buy a new one on Monday, I was told that that part was NLA and had been super-seeded by an all aluminum version. So my 190 is fixed now, but was out for the day for autocross, but my friend with the Alfa was generous enough to let me drive his car for the rest of the day. My friend came down from Toledo in his Focus ST, the car was a lot of fun to drive, I don't see myself getting one, but if you're in the hot hatch market, the ST is definitely worth a test drive.
