Geo Storm vs ZO6

I have seen this car a few times at the track.

Considering the car is running on junkyard parts with an OEM isuzu engine set-up such as the tiny turbo/intercooler/ecu and the 120,000 mile stock bottom end, his times are stellar. His best has been a 12.7@108 by the way.

Also just an fyi this is how bad this track in Orlando is and just how slow it is compared to most other tracks. A z06 even stock can trap 114 bone stock. What does this one do? 105 and 109. Significantly slower then normal.

Its funny to see the storm taking names. Sleeper

The guy in the Z06 doesn't know how to launch.

That's what I was going to say. The trap speeds aren't that different, but the Geo is getting a huge advantage out of the hole. Maybe he's running slicks?

Still impressive and a very good indicator of what a lightweight chassis should be able to do. Modern cars are ridiculously heavy.

That vette's a full second off the pace. the Geo, however, could be a lot of fun for messing with people around here.

By the same token though, if it is the poor track conditions, wouldn't the storm become a high 11 car on the "right" track.

it would probably be more of a mid 12 and a 5-6 mph increase on the top end.

Hot humid air is bad for forced induction cars. Midwest where the elevation is low with cool dry air would show a significant improvement.

I really like the look of Geo Storms. Only time I get to see them now is when I'm in states that don't use road salt. The Storms up here rusted away a long time ago. Don't remember the last time I saw one.

My dad traded his red Storm GSi in for his Fiero. It was a decent little car.
My Fiero is now a Finale. The end.
