I don't know what it should be on 88's but report back what you find. I think you should see ~1/8" toe in (tires, if left to roll freely down the road without a vehicle attached, would eventually hit each other)
Would still be doing more to my car than you. I'm suprrised you can put gas in your car.p8ntman442 wrote:or just keep talking about tuning it on the internet.
Yes, all 4 very recently.Fastback86 wrote:Tires balanced recently?
I'll check that when I can.whipped wrote: http://www.ehow.com/video_2327639_measu ... nment.html

I agree, it's so weird how much those affect the car's handling. But mine are tight, with locktite, and double nuts. The car isn't nearly as bad as it was when an end link went loose.darkhorizon wrote:88 rears are CRAZY if you let off when the rear links are loose... its crazyyyyy you fly all over the road.

I made an appointment for Friday 9am. $85 gets me an hour and runs. It will be RPM vs hp and torque, with wideband and a MAP reference on the sheet. He can also add in any 0-5 volt signal, but I don't really need any of those.
So, time to go do some tests before Friday. I want to get the tune dialed in more (I'm really having problems getting it above 11.5:1, I made a drastic change in the MAF adjustment and it had very little affect on the A:F. I also want to map out where 14psi on my MBC is.

Steven suggested this (so you don't have an excuse to ignore it because I said so) but urethane cold flows AND bushing sleeves can crush under the torque load. CHECK THE PLAY AT THAT INTERFACE.Aaron wrote:I agree, it's so weird how much those affect the car's handling. But mine are tight, with locktite, and double nuts. How many times now have I said they're tight? They are tight. The Dark Side of Will wrote: Steven suggested this (so you don't have an excuse to ignore it because I said so) but urethane cold flows AND bushing sleeves can crush under the torque load. CHECK THE PLAY AT THAT INTERFACE.
I could imagine they wouldn't be. But it doesn't leak much at all, and doesn't leak when running.Shaun41178(2) wrote:Just don't leak a ton of oil on their dyno. They won't be happy.

They WERE tight when you loctited them.Aaron wrote:How many times now have I said they're tight? The alternator and battery in my 6000 were new when I put them in. How could they possibly be giving me problems?
Because of the nature of urethane bushings and center sleeves of any bushings THEY MIGHT NOT STILL BE TIGHT.
DID YOU CHECK THEM?
How many times do we have to ask before you understand what we're asking?
No Will, they ARE tight. The Dark Side of Will wrote: They WERE tight when you loctited them.
I know what you're asking, I've just already answered it a few times.DID YOU CHECK THEM?

Tomorrow is the day. I'm going, whether I get the tune dialed in or not. As it is, it will hold a pretty stable 11-11.5, but in 4th past 5500, it likes to go down even more. I got my laptop fixed, that will give me 4-5 hours of battery life, which is good. I also have a friend coming down, and he'll be a big help. I'm off to go borrow a video camera :thumbleft:
