Drove my car for the first time in a year

Post by donk_316 »

FINALLY! Drove my Fiero from my ex-wifes joint to my buddies new acreage....Its only a 45min drive but it was long enough to remind me why I loved that thing so much.

The looks from passerbys and the head turners...the kids yelling at me to "light them up" as i drive by....everyone and the mother trying to "race" me as I drive by... The old fuck in the white truck who was shaking his head at me as he pulled up beside me....so i left it in first till red line just to piss him off...making sure my backend was equal with his open window.

Ah yes....150kph and then going WOT and leaving people in the rear view mirror.... Lane changes that scare old ladies..... Good times...

Just thought i would share.

I can't identify with putting my Fiero away. I drive mine every single day of the year. And it never gets old.

I was lighting them up with an SRT4 today going around turns in the city. I hate my tires. I punish them all the time.

I would drive it more but im only home for 7-10 days a month so I dont have enough time to do everything. Managed to put 500kms on my bike though. That was fun.

My fiero...wow. where do i start... its done...but its not. I wanna upgrade the brakes and poly the suspension... plus i have an apt full of turbo / nos / carbs / intake manifolds / etc etc waiting for me to build another engine for the fiero.

Ive kinda got to a point of "ill get to it when i get to it"

Doesnt really look like that anymore....the 3 gauges are gone and there is a dual pillar pod that holds a AF meter and oil pressure. My SAFC2 is mounted above where the tach is and i havent remounted the tach yet

You say you don't have the gauges there anymore and in a pod?

If you still have the Gauge pod on the side would you be willing to sell it.
I like that look very orginial and clean looking.

What do you have in the Stock Fiero Gauge pod??

Hey Donk, can you tell me more about your front splitter and maybe post some close ups of it? Do you find it helps at speeds around 110?

Ok I sold off the triple gauge pod when i removed it. Also the rally gauges were removed. There were no gauges in it. the interior looks alot cleaner now.

Stimpy- The front splitter is a thing of urban legend now. The story goes its been hanging in some kids garage for the last 3 years.

To make a long story short...I bought this Indy 8 years ago then sold the car 6 years ago. he built the front and rear wings then sold the car to another guy who sold the front splitter off for $75!!! Then i bought the car back 3 years ago missing the splitter.

I rode in it once with it and cant remember too much about it.

I will bet a propper splitter and undertray would help tremendously at tripple digit speeds.
