Anyone here ever been to a Competition / High Performance Driving School?
I just signed up for a 2 day race course May 2nd to 3rd.

Race City Calgary has a real shitty website, so here is a video of a civic racing on the track.

I can't wait to open up my GTR on the main straight!

I will try and take as much in car video as I can. This will be a good shakedown weekend for my car... I think I will trailer the car there and back "just in case".

I've done one Performance Driving clinic. I'm planning on going to another HPDE next month and every month there after. I can't wait. The track is such a blast.

Re: Competition / High Performance Driving School
I plan on racing a lot this year as well. My car is not set up for real competition racing with passing but I can do time attack.
I'm getting there, need an FIA approved racing seat, harness, upgrade my fuel cell to a bladder type and relocate my battery with a cowel shut off switch. I plan to have that all done for next year but I'm not sure if I want to race door to door... I'm afraid of being hit, or hitting somebody else. Body work costs too much money.
Already have my roll cage picked out, this is damn cheap for a 10 point through dash Molly cage. I couldn't believe it when I found someone in the States that actually sells an R32 Skyline roll cage.

I went to skip barber performance driving schooliat Lime Rock Park almost 10 years ago now. Back then they were using all dodge products. Most time was spent between a dakota r/t, neon ACR, and the Viper ACR.
It was well worth it and I learned a ton there. I wish I actually had the time to utilize these skill on a race track.

That's the same place I'm going to be getting my moly cage for my Talon from. I've heard good things about them.

Re: Competition / High Performance Driving School
I did the Skip Barber Driving School at Laguna Seca twice a few years back and it was awesome. If I ever have the money to go again (price just keeps going up), I'll do the racing school instead, just to do something different and more challenging.
