But $200 for a frame is stretching the budget?Aaron wrote:I take half of that comment back. Reading Top Gear is actually still mildly entertaining. Just not so much as watching Top Gear.
Pretty interesting read, makes me really want to do it. Unfortunately I have far better things to do than spend $7000 for 84mpg. I'd rather spend $40,000 for 12.

For a fiero frame? Yah. Overweight, poorly designed, poor performance platform.CincinnatiFiero wrote: But $200 for a frame is stretching the budget?

But you want another? Okay dude.
That picture is lame, I demand a better one. Is there a vid up of what your car sounds like?

Re: CTS-V
I generally like the car, and have way too much into mine to trash the pimpass powertrain, or sell it for pennies on the dollar. So I'm not going to spend a lot of money on something that isn't that impressive performance-wise, because there are much better cars I can buy. However I still want to, someday, when the right frame comes around, rebuild it, because I generally like the car.CincinnatiFiero wrote:But you want another? Okay dude.

I have a feeling the sale won't go through at that price and if it does, it won't be me as many people want it. If I can, I will but it though. You can buy my LS6 if you want though.

Not much to update. Only thing that's been done lately is I had the other rotors I had turned and threw them on the car. Also, I was back at High Plains Raceway again last weekend. I was a corner worker for the races Saturday (it was SO cold!) and drove Sunday morning in the SCCA PDX. Not the best picture, but it's the only one I've found:
The weather was shitty hence how dirty the car is.
I'll be at Pueblo Motorsports Park the 16th and 17th. Can't wait.

Re: CTS-V
Any more info on the PMI event? How does one go about registering?

Just go there to register. It's a NASA event, so you'll have to join up with them as well. I think it was like $40-60 bucks for the year. It includes a subscription to Grassroots Motorsports.
Here's the NASA Rocky Mountain website: http://www.nasarockymountain.com/.

Re: CTS-V
I don't think I'll make it. I don't want to race the Camaro, and the Fiero won't pass a tech/safety inspection. Sucks cause I live down in Pueblo, but I need to fix the Fiero before I can race it at PMI. If you're free after the race on Sunday, we can get a beer or a bite to eat.

Re: CTS-V
Work as a corner worker (same place to register). If you work the weekend you can drive for free next time. Sweet deal. It's fun too and you get acquainted with the track and flags and stuff.

Re: CTS-V
So I'd have to spend 40-60 to register, but not the 150-250 since I'd work a corner? I could do 40-60, and would take the SS out for that.

Re: CTS-V
I was in the field all week. In a hurry to get down there, but you could just show up tomorrow and check it out. Its free to get in. But yeah, you join up (one time fee) work a corner and get free track time for it.
