Turning off into the dark grassy driveway, the garage door pulls up as if it knows I'm coming. I pull into the middle of the 24' wide garage, pitch black, headlights straight ahead. The lights turn off, and recess together to finish the low, angled hood. I step out, cool as can be. SHIT, I tripped over the dog....
GODDAMMIT, my story was going so nicely too. Fucking dogs, I should've left them in the pound.
Anyways, tonight I left my car for the next few months. I am heading off to school tomorrow morning, Oklahoma State University, B.S. Fire Protection and Safety Technology. I spent the night driving around, just enjoying everything that is my very first Fiero. I don't think I redlined it once. I didn't need to. The car just drove, so perfectly, I was in heaven. Until the clutch started acting up and I had to put fluid in it anyways. I contnued the drive, just driving. I was away from all of the street racers, up near the mountains in the upper class neighborhoods, just cruising down the streets, maybe 5-10 over, making fun of all the old fucks with cheapass BMWs in their driveways, but mostly thinking how much more I enjoyed this car than I did ANY car I've EVER driven. And this includes 600hp twin turbo Mercedes AMGs, 996 twin turbos, Z8s, STis, EVERYTHING. I was loving life, quite simple. At that point in time, the only place I'd rather be is on a date with a girl named Brook. But we won't get into that...Oh, I also would have liked to be racing MTA in my CAI-equipped GT. Oh wait, he can't race, his car isn't running. Must have fallen short on dimes. Time to rip off another Fiero owner.
So I am just lettin ya'll know that I will be in OK starting tomorrow, and I will be Fiero-less. It is parked safely in my garage, with 2 lazyass dogs watching over it, and one cat sleeping 50 feet away. So don't even try stealing it, becuz I'll do something. I don't know what yet, but it will include some sort of monkey-style ninja moves taught to me by Dale Gribbel.
Doug, thanks again. It is more than I thought a car ever could be. The only time my white Z34 put a smile on my face is when I slammed 2nd at 7200rpm, and continued to do the same in third and fourth. Tonight, I didn't have to do that once, and I had a smile on my face the entire time. I was in complete and utter bliss.
Goodnight ya'll, talk to you tomorrow from my T3 internet connection (Hello good porn)
I laid my Fiero down to rest tonight.

I'm looking forward to school this year. Well...not the academics, but the social stuff and ROTC. We start the 29th but I'm gonna move into my house next week I think. So my Fiero is about to go away to the storage garage for the winter too. I didn't get near as much work done on it as I'd planned for this summer, but Field Training and my step-dad being in the hospital the last month didn't help. But yeah, enough rambling.
