clutch master cylinder question

Does the eye hook over the pedal go up or down?

Been spending too much time with the 300D and I never fixed my 88. I took it apart like two months ago and I forget which way the rod goes over the pedal.

Thanks, turns out it really only fits one way. I just remember reading somewhere that if you put it on downwards you can bend the rod. So I figured I'd ask before I drove over to the shop and fucked up the new master cylinder.

Drove the car for the first time in probably 2 maybe 3 months last night, the clutch master has been bad through my whole ownership of the car because it feels much better than it ever has, however I think the slave probably isn't too far behind.
