W41 achieva part out...

Post by Jinxmutt »

My buddy is parting out his w41 / getrag achieva.

I know you guys talk about some of these parts from time to time so I was wondering if you might be interested in anything.

Location? Parts available? Mileage? Condition? Price? These factors affect my level of interest.

Located in Charlotte, NC. The car is complete at the moment but not sure how long it will be before stuff starts to be sold. I will get you the mileage tomorrow morning. The was running when it was parked but best to assume its being sold for parts.

Open to all offers with respect to price. Just trying to move some of the stuff since there seems to be some interest in w41 parts before it gets junked.

I'm interested in the transmission for the gearset. I used to have one, but I lent it to a race car a couple years ago and never got it back. :( I sent a PM.

What do you want for the cams? Exhaust and intake manifold?

We still have all those parts.

I don't know what this stuff goes for today compared to a couple years ago when I used to be interested in quad 4 stuff. Make me a reasonable offer.

Opps. Never pulled the transmission. I haven't heard much from him lately either. I do know he still has the car and the trans hasn't been pulled but I don't know how motivated he is to do it. I'm pretty sure it'll get junked. I looked up pulling the cams but its a real PITA with the engine in the car so I prob won't go do that either. Its too bad, sounded like it could help people out, but turns out hes not really interested.

My bad...

Does this car have an intermediate shaft (Jackshaft?)

If so, I'd be interested.

I believe all Quad 4's with the manual did. At least my 90 Grand am with the Quad 4 HO did, and so did the 91 Beretta GTZ with the HO motor in it did (all HO Quad 4's are manual transmission), I dont know if the LO Quad 4's had the jackshaft. You do know the jackshaft has a male end on both ends right?

Yes it did have the jackshaft. The car has since been scrapped though.

Are you selling it? If the gears and shafts are in good shape, I'm interested. Shoot me a PM with details.

NO

Rocketparts made an LSD that could be ordered. Several have surfaced, Will had one. Cant find any right now.
