13.17 at 108 is impressive. I woulda guessed a blower, but gears and converter seems plausible for the E.T.

And my first trip to the strip when I trapped 13.2, I was only going 102.

He only ran a 2.0 sixty, so he's not hooking that well either.

Converter and gears, if matched well, can *really* wake an automatic car up.

IDK, it is a full-weight street car, on 19" wheels with street radials, so he definitely could spin both rear tires unless the traction control intervened. And he might need a higher stall for those 4.10:1 gears than all the other V6 'stangs with 3.31:1 gears. Bigger-number axle ratios make loose converters drive tighter.
No telling what the traction control would do to the 60' times.

The description of the video listed gears as a mod, but the comments said he had a converter too. I @$$ume he got the gears first, then got the appropriate converter to match.

That used to be a fairly safe assumption. But then Yank made a name with new-strategy converters that let the LS1 cars run hard with stock gears. Suddenly, 3.73:1 gears were no longer necessary, and without major porting and giant cams, weren't that helpful. However, in the case of the new v6 Mustangs, the gears were already available long before this rev-happy new engine. So the matching converter is an experiment, since this guy is probably the first guy ever to do gears and converter to the new V6 Mustang. I dunno why I'm speculating instead of contacting the guy, probably because I don't truly care about v6 Mustang performance. Amazing cars, but heavy and expensive. My gutted 89 Mustang with V8 will run quicker, and get better mileage, for less investment, if I give it a salvaged LS1 / T56 combo.
