Didn't this car win like street-car of the year last year or something? Pretty bad ass. I had a N/A Type72d with lotus sport intake, silencer, and chip for a weekend, they are a blast with 200hp, I can only imagine an Elise S, Exige S, or that.

The lotus is a secret dream of mine. I'd want to swap a GM 3.6 DOHC DI and turbocharge it. Like my fiero, but better in every way. The added weight would ruin its handling, but I can't own a 4 cylinder.

Oh, and AWD. I know I'd ruin the fiero-like handling.

Well they did opel speedsters and vauxhall vx220s with ecotecs so GM bell housing transmissions exist for that chassis.

The LNF DI Turbo Ecotec would be a great engine for that chassis.

I have had perverse thoughts of using an Isuzu Impulse RS AWD drivetrain in the FWD Lotus Elan which already uses an Isuzu engine...

K20 Exige is about the only lotus I'd buy. The K20 is an amazing engine, with a great transmission. Lots of LDS options as well. Got to love the tuning market for popular engines.

I've never driven a 4 cyl I liked. Just never enough torque to satisfy me. My fiero feels perfect, and most V6's do to me in terms of low speed power. I know the lightweight car will help, but I keep flashing back to my talon Tsi days. Hated those fucking cars. So unless it's a TDi motor (insert lightbulb!), mandatory V6 for me.

You need to try one in the right car. A light weight lotus doesn't need V-6 torque to feel fast. A fiero isn't exactly light weight. A 2000lb car is a lot different than a 2800lb car.
