Happy Weekend! What did you do?

Post by Identity Crisis »

Happy weekend everyone. Well it has been a weekend for me for the last 26 days as I have been recovering from knee surgury do to an incident during combat training. So it sucks knowing that my GT is a mere 25' away from me in my garage and I can not even stand long enough to work on it. But I digress.

Here is what I did though to get my wife all riled up. Not supposed to be standing too long. So I took a lot of breaks to recover from the pain.

I put a sweater over a carburetor.

So are you fixing the 2.hate? Or pulling it out?

On a serious note I welded up the motor mount arms on my girlfriends car, and finished the evaporator core replacement on my sisters car.

Nice work!

I spent some time with the girly friend, put some miles on my Dad's Camaro, welded up a panel on my Dad's Bel-Air, washed my bike, and hit the gym. I looked at my Fiero once, but did nothing further. Pretty uneventful weekend I guess.

Saturday drove up to West Coast Fiero with nocutt to help him with his turbo L67 Beretta but ended up just taking a nap on a flatbed while he put it together. That's what happens when I have to get up too early! I wanted to machine some stuff for my shocks and struts but I guess it'll have to wait til next time.

Today did a bit of offroading in the Apocalypse Wagon in the mountains and had a nice little picnic to celebrate the end of this brutally hot summer. Then had a BBQ back at home. Should get back to the Fiero this week.

I wrapped up a brutal (repeatedly going to bed at 1am and getting up at 4am) two weeks in Atlanta *almost* finishing my SCWS (Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist) qual for the Navy. Girlfriend was visiting her mom in Vegas and old friends in SoCal.

Participated in my unit's (3rd Naval Construction Regiment) decommissioning ceremony, which makes me now a plank owner.

Girlfriend flew back to ATL and we drove to Asheville, NC Sunday night, then through Deal's Gap on the way back to NoVA yesterday. We were driving her box stock 2002 A6 automatic, so it was fairly fun to push hard, but not all that fast. I did catch a small motorcycle three times going up the gap, though. :)

I attended my 3rd wedding this month. My sister in law's, my Brother's as best man and my Cousin's.

More drunken dancing since I turned 18 and could drink and go to the bar.

Almost healed up. I can actually stand now for about 30 min at a time. So I started back on the GT. I am removing the TB coolant pipe. I want to remove the 5th injector but I think it maybe more of a hassle to get the right size frost plug and a cap for the Fuel rail.

Just got rid of two more, different girls.

I'd like to think I don't need the car to pull them, but the second one wouldn't stop talking about it. :pardon:

Is she the kind of girl who picks her nose, or is she flicking me off?

She was:
A) Holding up her phone to try to take a video
B) Using her telekinetic powers to keep the car on the road

We were stuck behind that Envoy visible in the last photo and going way slow, too :-/

LOL... Kinda looks like it on the first shot, but that's really my shoulder.

I wasn't smiling right then because the Accord and Envoy in front of us cut my fun short: http://killboy.photoreflect.com/store/O ... 86&pc=1466
