Re: Steering rack bushings
I thought I had found at some point billet pillow block mounts that may be adaptible to the Fiero rack...

That looks like it may work for the passenger side, but you still have to fabricate something for the driver side mount, which, at least on the '88s, isn't round. The Dark Side of Will wrote:I thought I had found at some point billet pillow block mounts that may be adaptible to the Fiero rack...

At $210 a set, I don't really see those being a cost effective alternative.

Here's a polyurethane or delrin replacement for the driver's side C4 rack bushing: http://dougrippie.com/products/corvette ... -bushings/
(I'm running a C4 rack)

Re: Steering rack bushings
They might also allow someone to mount up a Pinto rack instead of the Fiero rack... MUCH more aftermarket support. Flaming River has a huge variety of stuff, and Wilwood and other racing manufacturers can build whatever we can imagine.Emc209i wrote:At $210 a set, I don't really see those being a cost effective alternative.
And another pillow block: http://www.davidlemmond.com/rackmount.html

O'reilly Auto parts can special order them...
