I know where there's one sitting in Oklahoma that can be had cheap that needs some fixing. Apparently the tranny from my old GT is siitng in a shop in Minco needing to be opened up and some spacers put in somewheres, but the gears are good. (Like my technical accuracy?) I'm sure you could probably pick it up for the cost of getting someone to send it to you. PM me if that interests you and I'll help you look into it more.

edit- The guy who owns the shop does a lot of work on cars for a guy in Michigan and is shipping up a GT pretty soon to him. If you move quick enough it could be a freebie. Don't qupte me because it's not my part, but Tom is a good guy and I don't know what he's going to do with a jacked up Muncie.

I have a good one but I am not local. I live in Utah and dont know what it is worth and dont know if I want to get rid of it quite yet. School is starting so I might want to for the right price. Let me know if you are intrested and cant find a local good one. I also have good cables and a cv for it.
Good luck on your search :thumbleft:

I have 2 3.65 FD 4spds. I'm not local, but I'm close enough for a day's drive. I'm in NW indiana about an hour from chicago.

$75 each. Condition unknown unfortunetly.

yes, the case is still intact. and if it is the spider gears, I still have the diff from my previous '84 trans, which I was going to send out to get a LSD.

and - KissMySSFiero - with gas prices the way they are - I think shipping them would be cheaper. tho the wifey does want to go on a trip - not sure this is what she means tho.... :la:

There's a junkyard on 8-mile in warren that has a v-6 4-speed in it. Might want to check it out.

Here's the address:

Parts Galore
11360 East Eight Mile
Detroit, MI 48205
(313) 245-2944

I think it's around Mound and 8-mile...... I'm not from that side of town and have only lived in the area for 1.5 years. My friend and I go there about once every three weeks. I've seen a few Fieros move in and out of there already. They keep a good circulation.

well, went out to Parts Galore - coulda mentioned it was a U-Pull-It
I went after work, showing up in shirt & tie....yay
but, did walk the yard, found a Fiero w/4-spd. went back the next day to pull it out. got quite aways into it, but the rear cradle bolts & y-pipe exhaust bolts was not giving. while trying to break the y-pipe bolts with my giant crowbar - I tipped the whole damn car off its stands...lol - what fun! I packed up kicked the car a few times, and went home.....
the car has a VERY good shape brown/tan interior - center console not ripped, seats look like they've been kept under seat covers - no rips - totaly clean w/speakers.

anyways - back to needing a 4-spd tranny.

Shit, sorry about not mentioning it was a pick-and-pull. Wasn't there 2 4-speeds?? hmm, I think I might be back there on Friday, if I am, I'll see what I can do.

if ya are headed there friday - I could make it too and try this again. wanted to get the seats & center console too
