I am looking to make things lighter in the front while at the track. I always heard skinny tires and light rims up front can drop around .2 and add a few mph on the top end of the qtr.
I saw these on ebay, looking to see what others thought. I have looked at weld rims and they are lightweight at about 8 lbs, but at $450 a pop, I'll try to find something comparable first for a cheaper price. although I am not sure how much these weigh, I have inquired.

Edit. These way about 11.5 lbs each

Re: looking for advice on rims
There's more info on aluminum spares at PFiffle, but there are a few OE 5x100 aluminum mini-spares on the market. Use a pair of those for your track wheels.
