3.485 bore and it's used? That's smaller than a 2.8 bore. WTF were they running it as/in?

If the block can go out to 94mm, an LX9 built in that block would be a nice piece.

It says its new never used.

GM rough bored the blocks. You had to go to a machinist for proper boring and fitment of pistons you planned to use.

The block can only go to 92mm safely according to GM literature. That works out to a 3.3 or 3.4 I cant remember.

That price is inline for what I sold mine about a decade ago.

My bad... I mis-read it.

92x84 is a 3400... Will the LX9 3500 heads fit that bore size?

Do we have any of the GM literature available?

ETA: Oh yeah, I have a 3" stroke billet crankshaft... Would be pretty awesome with this block.

Cool... didn't know that.
So it could do a reasonable job at impersonating an LX9 with... 50 lbs? less weight?

Even if not the 3400 heads can be ported out, and the lx9 upper plenum can bolt to the 3400 lower and a larger 65mm tb be bolted on vs the stock 54mm

Ben at WOT-Tech used to say that max effort 3400 heads outflowed max effort 3500 heads, I'm not sure if he has changed his port at all since then though.

Aluminum block with a turbo and interchiller hardware would probably be about the same weight as the stock iron engine.
The aluminum block has been run at 700ish HP in race trim.
