Re: Component Weights and Dimensions
I think it's a great place for it! thanks for posting, it gives me an idea of what to expect my car to weigh. I take it this is a 2.8 and TH125c?

Oh wow, you're under 2800 with an automatic? Nice.Honest Don wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 10:45 pm Is this a good thread for this?
87 notch aero-nose
A/C
Auto
Spare and jack gone, but I’ve only really pulled stuff out to put different stuff back in.
2/3 tank of gas and even the floormats are still in it.
I'm hoping to get The Mule under 2700 with a Northstar and Getrag... but have to exercise judicious component selection to get there.

Re: Component Weights and Dimensions
I'm under the impression that's on the lighter side for a V6 Fiero, and I expected automatics to be on the heavier side.

Speed Holes! Add Lightness!
My hub carrier still has to hold the car up, so I can't go as far as he did.
These guys like speed holes in their uprights too: https://us.gktech.com/240sx-skyline-z32 ... kinematics

At least my assembled knuckle design for the '88's is coming in a hair under 4 lbs, although I haven't added the bolts into the model yet.

Re: Component Weights and Dimensions
I added the toe link and an extensively relieved bracket for radial mount calipers, reworked the mount lugs for the radial caliper bracket and ended up at... 10.5 lbs. Not bad, and I haven't completely exhausted my speed hole options.
