Autocrossing

Post by dgzfiero »

Well I went autocrossing today. Had a blast. :thumbleft: It was up in Tulsa put on by some jaguar club. The first time I ever went so the times weren't the best. I was the slowest out of the 3 fieros that were there, even if I did have the biggest motor of us. I kept trying to make my own paths around the course. I only spun out once (doing the last half of the figure 8 lap ).
I got 6 runs in ranging from 48 to 58 seconds. 3 of the runs were disqualified due to the previously mentioned making my own path.
The other 2 fieros made a couple 47 second runs. All of us never have done this before.
There was some kind of Lotus there that looked like a dunebuggy. It was the fastst car there.

I believe he is reffering to the Lotus Super-7. The are super light weight, and are no longer produced by lotus. Some company named Catherham now produces them and it is nearly identical to the original ones produced by lotus back in the 60s or 70s. They currently have the fastest 0-100-0 time out of any production vehicle. :fart:

It was some parking lot that was up on a hill beside all these buildings.

The super-7 in that pic looks pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind taking that for a spin :downtown:
