Northstar intake with TB
This is for sale. Not sure what year but it has the spring flapper door on the end of it.
Good condition and tb is in good condition as well.
$20 plus actual shipping. Or throw me an offer.
sorry no pics as my camera is broken. Partial Pic of it however can be seen in my pistons thread hre in the mall.
Also I will throw in a full set of N star valves. Both intakes and exhausts. FOR FREE

Seriously dude? $20? I'll fuckin pick it up! Where you at? Aren't you in Daytona?

1) you don't have a northstar in need of an intake
2) your mom
3) see #1.
Naw, just razzin ya, I don't care either way... I may or may not need an intake, I'm still digging for that vacuum leak.

That will be fine, I only want the TB anyways. You can even have the valves. I'd just put em up on Ebay anyways. The Dark Side of Will wrote:I'll get in line for this one...
I'll take the manifold if aaron just wants the TB.
But if Shaun doesn't want to seperate the stuff, it is sold, to me. If he is ok with it, I'll take the throttle body. How does $15 shipped for it sound? This is assuming it is a 75mm and has the 2 sensors btw (IAC and TPS). If it is not 75mm that is ok, but it must have the sensors as it is all but worthless otherwise.
Thanks Shaun, and I will Paypal you the money tonight once you get back to me.

FYI: '95 and older Northstar TB's do not have IAC's. The have ISM's (Idle speed motor). The ISM is a small stepper based linear gizmo that opens the main throttle plate to allow idle air into the engine. It's main conceptual difference from an IAC is that the ISM has a throttle closed switch which tells the ECM that the driver has let off the throttle and the ECM need to be controlling idle.
In theory, an IAC ECM could control an ISM, but an ISM ECM could not control an IAC because the throttle closed switch would not be present.

Well the LT1 throttle bodies are pretty cheap and easy to find, so I'll probably just go with one of those. The Dark Side of Will wrote:Pretty much... the LT1's have a different throttle cam that makes the throttle open more slowly at smaller openings... makes tip-in torque delviery easier to control.
