Got to drive an interesting car the other day

This was a real muscle car. A 1973 Pontiac Ventura with a 472 Pontiac motor in it. The motor is making somewhere around 540/540 if I remember correctly.

The car handles slightly worse than my Astro van fully loaded, it stops even worse than it handles (4 wheel drums), but HO! LY! SHIT! does that thing go when you mash your right foot!

Incredible soundtrack, too.

Cars like this aren't generally my cup of tea, but I can definitely see the appeal in them.

Man, that was fun.

I guy I know is about to drop a highly modified 413 pontiac that dynoed at 615 @ 6500rpm into his 73 ventura mated to a richmond 5spd. Should be a pretty quick car, he is hoping to pull of some 10s in the 1/4.
