I don't know... A long time ago I was talking with Alan Cline (?), he is/was an engineer that worked on the northstar. He said given the freedom to do whatever, he would extrude hone the exhaust manifolds, and throw on a stall converter.

I believe he said the exhaust crossover was decent enough stock, but obviously there's some reason he'd hone the manifolds over any other mods...

How about some general pics of your engine in the car.

I just meant pics of the car /engine / conversion in general.

If you've posted pics before and I missed them then point me in the right direction.

Personally I'd do cams and a stall.

Yeah, it's dirty. I haven't washed it since I started sanding things...

I want to change out the PVC crap for some nice stainless stuff, but haven't found anybody that has 3.5" tubing.

Wow those N*'s sure aren't pretty in stock form, but I'll bow to the dyno sheet.

As for the intake, why not use aluminum tubing? I'm sure someone has 3.5, that isn't that uncommon of a size at all.

No, it's just my dirty, unorganized engine bay. I don't care if the tubing is aluminum, stainless, or titanium. I've looked, and nobody offers what I need for a decent price. It's got to be mandrel bent, I'm not taking it to be crimped by a muffler shop.

I was actually curious about the routing. With two mufflers it ought to be interesting. I have been considering it for my car because as-is it is way too loud and I'm told a Spintech (my current choice) wont be much quieter. Are you running a cat?

I'm running 2 cats. If I were to do it again, I wouldn't install the cats though. I don't think they did much for the sound, they block flow, and they're just another thing to replace. On top of that, I had to install 12" of flex tubing just to be able to install everything. Just 2 mufflers would have been easy, and wouldn't have had to cut the trunk, I don't think.

Originally I just had the 2 cats, but it was loud as hell.

There's considerable room to pretty it up, mostly in terms of wiring...
