OD of the stock tb

Post by Shaun41178(2) »

Anyone know the stock OD of the 2.8 tb? I have a 2.25 tube here and its tight to get on but will go on with coaxing. There is a lip on the tb that helps keep the hose on it after the clamp is tightened. I am wondering if that could eqaute to anotehr 1/4 inch for the diameter

I dotn' have any calipers otherwise I would measure. I want to get some silicone couplers but don't want to spend $35 and then find that it doesn't fit.
FieroPhrek working on that ls4 swap for 18 years and counting now. 18 years!!!!! LOL

Dude... I bought a silicone coupler for $9 after taxes...

Are you trying to buy the fiber-reinforced couplers intended for boosted apps? 'Cos a plain-jane "Vibrant Performance" coupler MSRPs at like $10

so 2.5 it is. Thanks man.

Anotehr buddy told me about an hour ago he measured his at 2-3/8ths so I guess its close enough. You used a digital caliper it seems so thats more accurate.

Couplers that I need are around $35-$50 a pop. I need odd sizes and transitions is why.

heh

I've actually GOT a 2.5 - 3" reinforced coupler that is just hanging around looking stupid... Came with a rice-pipe I altered to fit my 3.4TDC.

You want it? I promise no treadmarks this time

I need a 2 inch to 2.5 inch 90 degree and then a 45 degree 2.5/2.5 preferably black in color.

I check ebay every so often. I am looking for cheap stuff for now like rad hoses though locally so I can pay like $5 to use them to test fit them before I get the real deal.
