what could be the reson that once a week I have to replace my cap and rotor because they are completly burned up?

-Moisture/oil getting in there?
-Incorrect plugs?
-Shorting wires?

I have the correct plugs
no oil or moisture getting in there
as far as I know I dont have any shorting wires

Well, something is generating too hot a spark...
Maybe a bad coil? Although in my experience, those usually give a cold, weak spark...

Another approach might be that the dist. shaft is worn out and it's not spinning smoothly causing some fun collisions between cap and rotor.

all plugs are gapped and gapped correctly I did it myself I think I may have to replace my distributer its all rusted looking when you remove the cap and rotor

Have you checked for side-to-side play?
Are you using the correct rotor?
Is there other evidence of condensation in the distributor? 'Cos I know that moisture will fark up your points...

no side to side play
yes I am using the correct rotor
and there is no other reason to make me think there is moisture getting in there its never wet when I look at it and no oil in there
