FOR SALE: 3.1 pistons

Post by Shaun41178(2) »

I have decided I am going with different pistons. 12:1 is just too high with boost. So I am getting rid of these.

Federal Mogul H562CP .040 oversized.

These are for a 3.1 iron head motor and is .040 oversized. With iron heads the compression ratio will be approx 8.8:1.

The skirts are coated with a teflon liner to reduce friction.

These retail for $30 a pop or about $180 for all 6. I want $110 shipped. They are still brand new and in the box.
FieroPhrek working on that ls4 swap for 18 years and counting now. 18 years!!!!! LOL

530 whp is greater than 312

So that would make these pistons something like 3.540"?

Are your compression numbers for a 3.1 or 2.8 crank? What's the compression height? I'd like to figure out compression in an iron head and aluminum head 2.8 to see if these will work for any projects I have in mind.

these are 3.1 iron head pistons so I calculated the CR with a 3.1 crank.

You can't use these with a 2.8 crank unless you get custom rods. Compression height is stock for a 3.1 piston. I want to say 1.45 or something like that We had a chart posted here recently with all of that stuff.

But its the stock compression height.

With iron heads CR will be approx 8.8:1

With aluminum heads the CR will be abuot 11.8:1

Thats way too much for boost so I want different pistons for my al heads.

Yes bore size is 3.542 or there abouts with these pistons..
