The amazing thing is that even with the roll he only lost by 1.5 seconds. Incredible driver. I love the part where he's drifting around the corner and just taps the barrier on the inside. Beautiful.

I wonder if he had the wheels turned "into the slide" if the car wouldn't have flipped, VS being pointed towards the next clipping point setting up for the following turn?

By the way, rally will be in the X-games this year.

I can't find any of the original press release stuff anymore, but basically ESPN thought that rally counted as an eXtreme sport and was a good fit for the x-games. This happened early this year. Pretty cool, eh?

yeah, i was watchin that shit!! it was pretty AMAZING!! even after flipping, he only lost to Travis Pastrana by .6 seconds. Must have been pretty sweet for Pastrana!! Right before he started his MotoX run the rally car guys sent him a text message telling him not to attempt the double back flip, but he did and he landed it, OF COURSE that won him the gold! then to win the gold in rally!! :thumbup:

not to mention the double flare in BMX vert, and Shuan White coming so close to landing the 1080* it was a pretty exciting record/first time filled night!!
