I finally understand what that is now..lol! it seems to be a cool idea but not really something i would explore. Most of the aftermarket headers come with something like that if your wanting to go external.
Dyno. Car pulled 30 more ft# of torque with only 2 more psi than last run. 20 more hp too.
ON a dynojet dyno i would be 275hp at all 4 wheels.

I gotta find a decent boost control setup. I have free HP sitting there! I can go 2-4psi higher on the stock turbos with lots of fuel left in my curve.
I should see 250-260 ft-lbs and 240-250 hp on the Mustang after i max out the stock turbos.
Thats about 306 ft lbs and 295 hp at the wheels on a dynojet.
What is that at the crank? 375hp?

Stock twin turbos still (good to 1-1.2bar)... I want to see what stock ones do. The ones i want to go to are HKS GT2530s good for 300hp each at their max (1.4-1.6? bar)
But then that comes with fuel system upgrades.
I cant see me ever going external really. I dont want to go any higher than 550hp anyways.
After 550hp then drivetrain starts showing some "weakness"

See upgraded turbos will add about 200 hp to his current hp numbers. You weren't too far off there kohby.donk_316 wrote:The ones i want to go to are HKS GT2530s good for 300hp each at their max (1.4-1.6? bar)
FieroPhrek working on that ls4 swap for 18 years and counting now. 18 years!!!!! LOL
BEWARE OF BEN PHELPS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. WORSE THAN MILZY IMO

just because the turbo can support it doesn't mean it will add that much without more supporting mods :la:Shaun41178(2) wrote:See upgraded turbos will add about 200 hp to his current hp numbers. but if you want to be the next calikid be my guest
stick a T72 on your bone stock 2.8 with a 1.75" exhaust and tell everyone its a 700hp monster
thats because of the GTR - if you gain that much just form the turbo upgrade then it means the turbo was the weakest link in the system. massive intercooler, awesome valving and cam profiles, decent exhaust.donk_316 wrote:umm supporting mods = bigger injectors on a GTR
basicly everything else was better than the turbo.
but most cars aren't like that - if upgrading the turbo in most cars everything from the air filter to the muffler tip is a potential restriction.
its like starting with a stock dsm - leaving the turbo alone but giving it a sweet intake, a massive intercooler, and a high flowing 3" exhaust. it would gain some power, but the system can flow more air than the turbo at that point. so seemingly upgrading the turbo could double the output, but it wasn't just the turbo that caused the increase it was all the supporting mods. don't know why shaun is trying to portray it as anything else - its the same shit he hassles people on OE for doing.
