water temp sensor L67

Post by dgzfiero »

Does anyone know where the water temp sensor is on a L67? 2000 SSEi motor if there is a difference. I've looked all over the top of the motor that I can see. It is showing P00118 coolant temp circuit high input on a code reader.

Should be near the thermostat.
Maybe in a cylinder head.

Its under the T-stat. It threads in 'upwards'. It comes really close to the crossover and usually has a silver heatshiled tube over it (from the factory).

Look near the 'arm' of the engine stand.
