HOWEVER, when you do a search on the Midwest Control website, the results include only BANs with LH ID threads. Weird. I prefer the RH ID threads because it makes obtaining replacement rod ends easier.

Found this koni distributor in Australia that also manufactures weld on strut gland nut adapters for koni strut inserts as well as integrated sleeve and gland nut adapters.

Fastenal sells Well Nuts by various manufacturers. Grainger should also have them. I bought mine at an automotive paint and body supply but I had to wait for them to order them in. Fastenal had them on hand.

I also have a Well Nut number 8832. Range .38 - 3.96 mm. These are larger and I don't believe they're the ones I've used for the spoiler.

While crawling through and assembling the wiring on this LF3/LF4 I came across a blunt cut shield segment of the wiring diagram. The Fuel Pump Control Module PWM 12awg cables to the fuel pump puts out enough noise GM shields them due to an abundance of EM with a grounded shield wire back to the module.

You can't order the harness portion from GM without purchasing the entire body harness which is ridiculous in price both from GM or ebay.

ShowMeCables.com has an equivalent shielded wire offering sold by the foot.

Since this is for a non-motion setup, i.e. robotic arm etc... the more economical Tray Cable variety over the VFD type can be used

true, but its one of the only options I have found that is temperature rated, and oil resistant, and shielded.

while I'm not sure this fits the description of "hard to find", I will say they seem kinda difficult to find as a not garbage product.

This is a fuse panel from Blue sea systems, meant for marine applications. while I've used their products in the past with good results, I noticed the covers were usually pretty rattly, this one, and it's smaller four circuit companion are much tighter, and more compact(the real important part). Because they're built for marine environments, the components are corrosion resistant, more than fine for use on a car. I would highly recommend these, part number are 5045 for four circuit, and 5046 for eight circuit.







I'm planning on picking up one of their "safety hubs" for the wiring coming off of the battery in my car, as they provide a weather-tight connection point, with megafuses for power distribution. I'll post a review of it when it gets here.

Oh, yeah... I found that back in early 2018 when the Storm Trooper broke its timing chain.
Be warned that there are TWO that look very similar except they're built for waterpumps turning opposite directions.

This fabric-based tape can be used in engine compartments, and is sticky, but not gummy. Available in 3/4" and 1" widths; the ideal width depends on the size of the bundle you're trying to wrap.

I say this is good for wrapping/bundling wire harnesses.

Do not use Tesa 51036 for sealing wire splices, instead use adhesive-lined heat shrink tube.

For Y-splices, heat shrink tube cannot seal the gap between two adjacent wires. I apply Permatex 85121 liquid electrical tape to the area, and then shrink the tube while the liquid electrical tape is still wet.

I was shopping for strain gauge amplifiers (work-related), and I noticed this Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband controller on their web shop (they use different URLs for the actual add-to-cart shops):

I don't like how wideband oxygen sensors generally need a separate controller box, which you need to figure how to mount/package.

This product builds the controller into the connector, so you don't have to figure how to install the controller box.

Texense also has other instrumentation products; it may be worth looking though their offerings. At the top of the webpage, there's a currency selector to choose USD for the convenience of the Yanks.

While working on the Gran Damn, I noticed the battery tray is fairly flat, and appears that it could fit swaps nicely if needed, they're also plastic, so they shouldn't rust.
