If you aren't getting spark, check the following:

1) Power to the distributor when key "on"
2) Check pickup coil for continuity... Make sure resistance changes as engine moves.
c) Check the main coil. I don't have the numbers, but they are fairly easy to check with a multimeter. The info is even in a Haynes manual
iv) Check the coil wire for continuity. Resistance should be fairly low.
Five) Check-check and double-check timing. 180º will make it pop and stutter, but in my experience 90º out will make it do absolutely nothing

You don't mean your 3.4 do you?

No, that is actually becoming pretty reliable as far as starting goes.

My black car doesn't like to start or idle when cold. I figure I'll worry about it when I get the 3.4 or N* in it.

I would say IAC on your Car Aaron, isnt opening enough, or working at all. Or maybe the cold start injector is messed up.

Okay... finally got to test out the Fiero today. Kind of a pain in the ass driving back and forth between my school parking lot and apartment to work on it. ECU is throwing out a Code 12 so there are no registered issues there. As for spark, hooked up a new plug to a wire and grounded the side of it while my wife turned the ignition. Still no spark. :banghead:

Going to the oral surgeon in the morning to get 4 teeth pulled so I won't be able to get back to the Fiero for a couple days. Anything else I'm missing in the mean time?

Just a recap:
New Pick-up Coil
New Ignition Module
New Ignition Coil
New Rotor
New Cap
Checked fuel delivery
Checked fuses

*note... vehicle does have an old car alarm installed. Not sure of it's condition or if it has a starter kill installed.

Disconnect the connector from the coil, turn the key to "on" and check for voltage at the pink wire.

I'll have my wife pickup a multimeter tommorrow and check it this weekend.

Do you see my point? Because you didn't take the time to diagnose, you replaced all this shit FOR NOTHING.

Stop while you still have a bank account, and diagnose. Check voltage and continuity in your harness.

I understand your point Aaron but the vehicle is 20 years old and I have absolutly no information about the history of it. With all that stuff I have replaced I still havn't even broken $100 yet. I feel it is a small price to pay for preventative maintenance. Might not be broke now, but it will same me time from being without a vehicle and troubleshooting next time one of THOSE components break.

unfortunatly new igniton modules tend to last a week -month, sometimes a long time. If you didnt use heat sink paste redo it. Did you check out the link I posted to chase race's post?

starter kill does just that, kills the starter, so if the engine turns over, its not that.

Then you'll be doing this again... these two items by themselves should set you back $130ish if you get the good ones.
