He finally got his Corvette.

Wednesday he picks up a silver 97 automatic with 49k miles. Go dad.

He's coming out next weekend to show it off, I'll do pics then. Just wanted to give him his big ups.

97, is that an LT1 or LS1?

If its an LT1 auto, you'll definitly give him a good race.

yea 97 in a corvette is the LS1. It was Lt1 still in the F bodies though.

You will hang with him till about 80 or so I would say. Then its lights out.

Even so getit on film. Just dont' show Fagland you lost in the video or they will go nuts. They dont' like to see Fieros lose ever! As they all know the fiero is the greatest car ever made

Well, my dad came out last weekend, didn't get a chance to run him as my car was having issues. But it's a nice one for being a 97, just a few rock chips down low by the passenger side fog light.

Fortunately, they still make manual transmissions too, so you can have one in your Corvette.

BTW, no one's commented about the hot ridez across the street from me. That Firebird actually has moss growing on the tires. How's that for a lawn ornament! Then there's the Corolla that they get tags on so they can park it behind the TA so you can't see it's 5 year old expired tags. I love my neighborhood.

Tremec, Getrag, Aisin and others make the manual transmissions that GM uses. If GM ever knew how to make a good manual trans, all the guys on that engineering team have retired.

Anyway, nice that your dad was able to get a 'Vette. The fact that he bought an automatic is actually a good thing because it leaves one more manual transmission car out there for me to pursue.
