I have parts for sale that came from a complete high-performance Chevrolet 350 SBC. This engine was professionally machined and assembled, but never run. It was a prize for a competition and is being parted out now. Here are pictures of this engine before it was taken apart:

You're only asking $24-2500 in parts... would have figured the engine would be worth more than that assembled.

That may be true, however it is easier to sell the parts than an entire engine. At this time of year, in this economy, the engine as a whole may not even sell at all.
