1/8mi test and tune..

I went to Mooresville track today to get some test and tune time in before the 1/4mile on thursday.

zMax opens their street night thursday so I wanted to get the car a bit more dialed in before then. Unfortunately, the track was packed as hell with bracket racing, bikes, and all kinds of delays. It was running until midnight, but I didn't feel like sitting there any longer after being there all day. I should have showed up at 9pm then I could have hotlapped TNT after all that bracket crap was done.

In anycase, I didn't launch the car and I was granny shifting so that I didn't break it before the 1/4mile. I only got 2 full runs in. The better of the two was 8.325@94.034.

The car is doing really well through 2nd and 3rd gear. With a nice launch and some quick shifts it should be 7s easy even on the lower boost that I'm at right now. I plan to crank the boost up to 18-20psi for the 1/4mile. I still have it set low since I was breaking in the clutch. It grabbed really well tonight. Thursday should be a hell of a lot of fun..

Good work on taking it easy. That's a pretty good mph. I was generally running an 8.1-8.2 in the 1/8 on the s/c setup,but my traps were only in the mid-to-high 80's.

The tracks up here open April 4th. If the weather is nice, I *should* be ready. I'm coming off a misfire issue, and I got a couple of other things to work on including getting my BOV welded on.

I ran better ETs in the 1/8 when I was supercharged than I did today. I was running 1.8 to 1.9 60s then and about 8.2 as well. As you can tell in the vid, I didn't even get on the throttle until 2nd gear, just rolled through first. That explains the >2sec 60ft.

your car can run high 11's if you push it hard off the line. I wouldn't suggest that though as your mph easily indicates you have an 11 sec car. With a 94 mph trap on your low boost setting, you will probably trap around 120 mph which is easily a low 12.

My buddy in his 03 cobra has done a best of 12.0 and that was at 118 mph but with a 92-93 mph 1/8th mile.

Just for comparisons sake, I ran an 8.5 in the 1/8th at only 83mph on 10 lbs no nitrous and that was on a 1.8 60 turning into a 13.2 run. Your car is pretty damn fast. Oh high boost I fear for the tranny. Your ET might be slow, but your mph on high boost is going to be pretty high.
