I'm on level 4, this game is actually hard. I had to devise a suspension bridge to move that pesky elephant.

Wood walkways seem to be stronger than connectors. Use them where your guys don't walk through them.

Found (and beat) this game on thursday on kongregate during my drive to NC. Certainly a good way to make that ride go by faster.

Just checked, I'm on level 16 as well. The bridges in the screenshots are way cleaner than mine. Using the 'mouse' thing on the laptop makes being precise hard. My bridges look sloppy and uneven, but somehow they work.

Make the bridge A frames taller. Look at how much room my guys have above their heads and how much your guys have.

I also used metal walkways as supports from the sides. You are using connectors. Walkways are stronger than connectors but cost more. As long as you have cash use walkways as much as you can.

go back to the main menu and hit play game, it will show you what levels you have completed and you can continue
