Now that shows clear, impressive peak numbers, but unless he has a drag tuned 6-speed, it is all but useless. With 650+ RWHP, and so little before that peak, he really only has about 1000rpm of strongest power. Therefore his tranny needs to optimully only drop 1000rpm between gears. You simply aren't going to find this in most all trannsmissions. ANd if you ever do, will it have the gear to get you up to 140+ by the time you cross the line? There's no way.
So while I am an all high end kind of guy, that sorta power curve is useless unless it can run to 9500-10000 with minimal drop off, of which I doubt becuz there is a reason it was stopped at 8.5.

Dude he revs it to 10.3 when racing. it didnt' go that high on that run though. It has a large rpm band of 5k rpm. It works. How big is the 2.8 powerband? 3k rpm? If that. Waht about a dohc? 3500 rpm powerband?
Fiero doesnt' have a drag tuned tranny either and it falls out of its powerband. Does that make it useless too?
You would lose to that car even from a dig.
Daily driven like howard said and its only scary when you get on it.
Aaron werent' you the one the other day commenting on how the Supra with 1400 hp is streetable ven though its peaky? But now it seems you are argueing the opposite point.
The car is proven and kicks ass. It has a different powerband then you are used to but that doesnt' make it worthless. its still ass kicking power.
I didn't know he revs it to 10 3, knowing that, then yes, that is an excellent power curve for racing. But why did they stop at 8.5??
I think it'd be a fine daily driver with certain gears, but if they were sticking to 8500rpm, it is a terrible curve.
