I forget whether the news said he was a senator for 37 years or 47, but either way, he's a shining example of why we need congressional and senatorial term limits.

...because he spent the next 40 years of his life serving the public? Would his debt to society have somehow been better served by rotting in a prison cell for four decades instead? At least he was a productive member of society.

IMO his debt to society grew much, much larger while he was a senator. Ted Kennedy had no place in politics.

Edit...I said he had no place in politics. Perhaps I should have said there should not be a place for people like that in politics.
