4x10s in the doors?

So I've got my entire interior ripped out, but mounted my stereo yesterday, because I want it in there. Plus, the 88 I got has decent Pioneer speakers, so no reason not to since the deck is a really nice one. Well, I can't find a place to mount the front 4x10s, since the dash is out. Well I don't have door panels on, and there's quite a bit of room in them. Would they fit? Will the steel have any interference with the speaker?

As 4x10s suck, you could buy 5.25s which I have seen fit into the doors.
