GenII Headlight Issue

Post by CincinnatiFiero »

On the 88 I have been having a weird headlight problem. When I would have the headlights on a for an extended period of time there would be a delay when I turned them off before they went down. I could turn the lights off, turn off the car, remove the key, lock the door, and walk away and some times it took up to a half hour for them to go down. Now they won't go down at all. The motors were re-bushed probably 2 years ago with a Fierostore kit. They have no problem or delay going up.

Any ideas?

sounds like the control module is not shutting off, it's located outside the driver headlight bucket under the fender.

Also I would wiggle the headlamp switch in teh off position, sometimes teh contacts get bad / dirty and do not shut everything off.

Yeah, if I move the off half of the switch to the right it will put the headlights down.

Lol, well I'm back to driving the 300D, got some traveling to do (like cbus to cincy lol, so not that far). That was the most I'd driven my fiero in months. For being so slow, they are a lot of fun as toys.
