I bought the car in 2002ish stock with about 170K on it. I drove it as a DD for quite a while and the current mileage is about 230K.
Here are some of the big maintenance items, as I remember them (there are more, and I will add them as they come to me):
-(~190K) Rear center spark plug was spat out. I tore the top end of the engine down, helicoiled that spark plug hole, lapped the valves and reassembled/resealed the engine.
-High volume oil pump installed in the engine
-3400 gear reduction starter
-TCC solenoid replaced, TCC *functional*
-Trans fluid flushed, new filter installed, drain plug and temperature sensor bung installed in transmission oil pan
-Radiator replaced with NEW unit (2003)
-Trans cooler lines replaced
-High pressure power steering line replaced
-Regular oil changes
-Plugs and wires
-Rear air struts replaced with quite possibly the LAST pair of struts commercially available (2003)
-Car was painted in '03, but the paint obviously hasn't been cared for
-New aftermarket interior carpet
-Brakes, pads and flex lines
Modifications:
-Installed STE digital dash; dash wiring harness completely reworked to a very high standard of workmanship (ABSOLUTELY NO SIDE-SPLICES); Odometer does not read correct mileage (correct mileage recorded in maintenance log)
-Koni struts for the rear of a Fiero in the front
-Minivan springs in front
-16x8 Grand Prix wheels in front w/ 245/50-16 Yokohama tires (mostly worn out)
-16x7 Bonneville wheels in rear w/ 205/60-16 tires
-Trailer hitch (class 3 receiver installed in std A-body Class 1 hitch).
-Custom 2.5" cat-back exhaust with custom built over-axle pipe welded up from mandrel bends
-Aftermarket keyless entry (incorporated into the reworked dash harness like stock)
-WALBRO fuel pump
Best handling A-body you'll ever drive!
Problems:
-Car has been sitting because it burst one of the rear brake lines (rusty) and I was too fed up to fix it
-A/C works, but needs to be recharged or converted to R134
-Needs a heater core (I have it and will include)
-Bracket broke on original power driver's seat; manual seat from Cavalier installed with adapter bracket
-Needs driver's door switch panel
-AWD center lock has never worked (vacuum problem that I've just never fixed; nothing is wrong with the transmission)
-Rear air suspension suffered the "skyjack" failure; compressor blows its fuse; has schrader fitting for manual inflation
-Needs to have door weatherstripping replaced or reglued
Included spares and parts:
-ALUMINUM hood (not installed)
-COMPLETE Transmission
-38/32 chain sets (both early/narrow and late/wide)
-Original rear struts (disassembled)
-NEW heater core
-Steel fuel lines (from FWD car; will require adaptation; originals are nylon).
-At least two Teves ABS pump/MC units (may or may not function)
-STE grille, fog lights and headlight harness
-Original instrument cluster
The heater core is the *ONLY* reason the dash isn't completely buttoned up.
I'd like to see $1000 for the whole collection, but I'd like it gone more.
I can be reached via this forum or at five four zero, seven four two, two three four one.
Can work with the right buyer for delivery within 150-200 miles. If I deliver, price is firm.
Haha! Yeah, Will I think it's time to make more than one run to the junkyard.Shaun41178(2) wrote:

I like this idea. Throw in a 3900 and turn a few heads lolSeries8217 wrote:Strip it out and rallycross it.
