Here's your V8 for the Skyline, Levi!
Factory boosted 4.4 litre at 475ish HP with a supercharger. Should be reliable as the day is long at 550 with a turbo. Has 4 cam VVT and the capacity to spin pretty good...
Just snag the oil pan and front diff from an SRX V8 AWD and adapt your Nissan driveline.

As much as a turbo N* would be badass, it's not exactly compact or light. That was pretty much the selling feature of the LS engine.

A twin turbo VQ engine with a large bore and stroke upgrade is another awesome idea. They are keeping it awd as well. Should be very interesting to follow.
