Ok? So if they don't have a transmission then there aren't any in Edmonton?

Grove auto has a 282 out of a 91 Cavalier. If you can bring yourself to shop at other places than the ones mentioned you can have a 282.

Pick and pulls around here rarely get something that new.

Car-part.com is the best advice you've gotten.

Wasn't jncomutt going to do a 4T80 behind his 3800T at one point? I haven't talked to him in a quite a while though and I think he's moved to newer cars.

Yeah. I think he went with a modified F23 in the end. But I haven't talked to him lately either.

Derp derp derp derp derp. How could I forget about that car? I helped build it!

That controller is actually pretty damn good. Just expensive.

What about the stock Auto transmission? I could use my auto from my 87 to atleast get me by until I can buy another transmission. The 87 Auto isnt computer controlled if I am correct.

I'm sure it'll do great, I mean, you're only tripling the horsepower and torque.

I wouldn't bother with an engine swap until you have all the parts you need laying in front of you. The stock auto might get you around but you won't be able to thrash it.

Are you talking about the stock Fiero transmission (TH125C)? If so, I think its a terrible idea.

The short answer is no.

The long answer is no, not really.

That would be a disaster. You'd need to install a throttle stop at 45% TPS.

So you can't use the Cadillac engine, trans, and ecu?

What are guys like Madcurl on Old Europe doing for transmission control, I thought he had a N*/4T80.

It's been done... OP hasn't done enough research. I'm not the encyclopedia for 4T80E swaps, because I've never done one.
