Great idea, or waste of two cars?

I'd probably do it, but I'd probably have found a light rollover C63 or a flooded one.
A C63 has around a 3,800lb curb weight. A 190E base model is around 3,100lbs. But a 190E would have had a heavy chassis, iron block, iron diff, steel suspension, steel driveshaft, etc. Whereas a C63 would have had a heavy body, all the modern safety requirements, big heated power seats, nav, big stereo etc. So I'll be curious to see what the net weight savings end up being.
This is the same shop that did the V10 E30 M3 a couple years ago.
