I saw the advert you're referring to, so I went and looked it up again... The original design is probably ok. I know there have been problems with subsequent redesigns. And... holy crap, four digit price tag for those? You must really want to lower your front end.

My Formula has never had that problem, and I've had the springs out and saw no indication they were aftermarket.

I did some research and the 84-87 needed a brake upgrade? I didnt ask yet but I wonder if this setup needs diff brake rotors and whatnot

I measured the fender lip from the ground and I think I measured about 27.5 to 28 inches from the ground.

The rear is at 26 inches

The '84-'87 cars have old style spindles with the hub and rotor one piece. When installing knuckles that accept bolt in hub cartridges, you no longer have the original rotor, so you need to install something else.

'88 front ends have bolt-in hub cartridges from the factory, so they don't have that problem.

Those knuckles don't use '88 front bearings, though. They use 5x100 drive axle bearings with a bolt welded through the middle to hold them together. I don't know if they'll push your front wheels out wider or what.

Did he list how much of a drop they provide?

Just go to OE and look up the differences between the Ryane and latter versions to make sure he's selling the older one's...

Looks like these parts are on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/275069514377

I kind of laugh at people bidding well before the auction is over... that simply causes the price to rise.

The rational way to play the game is to "snipe" the auction, by placing a bid just seconds before closing.

I used a auction site when I was in washington, they had soft closings, with the auctions closing at least 10 minutes after the final bid.

Example "A"

Auction "ends" at 8:00PM, a bid is placed at 7:50pm, no further bids are placed, the auction ends.

Example "B"

Auction "ends" at 8:00PM, a bid is placed at 7:55pm, the auction now ends at 8:05PM, a bid is placed at 8:00PM, the auction now ends at 8:10PM. The auction has no further bids, and the auction closes at 8:10PM.

BaT seems to bring pretty high prices for cars (well, for Fieros at least); probably the soft closing helps bring out the competitive nature in people.
