Handles like a go cart

Post by eHoward »

Saw this come through just now. It actually looks pretty nicely done for what it is:

This go-kart was constructed by Bird Automotive of Omaha, Nebraska, and was designed to resemble a Pontiac Fiero. It is finished in red while the tubular steel frame is finished in black and is fitted with a three-horsepower, 127cc Briggs & Stratton single paired with a centrifugal clutch. Additional equipment includes rear scrub brakes, chain drive, a butterfly-style steering wheel, and a single seat trimmed in black vinyl. This Fiero-style kart was purchased by the seller in 2023 and is now offered at no reserve in Bolivar, Ohio, on a bill of sale.

"Handles like a go-kart" is one of my major pet peeves in car reviews.

Go-Karts handle TERRIBLY compared to well set up car. No suspension, solid rear axle, no rear diff...can't even go around a corner properly unless you're lifting the rear inside tire...the only thing they have going for them is direct steering and light weight.

Cute fierokart though.
