My Dad has been looking for a new truck ever since selling his 1988 S10 Sprot about a year ago. It just didn't have enough power up at altitude via the 4.3 TBI.
The truck is a 1998 Silverado 1500 Z71, fully loaded with everything except leather. Towing package, 5.7l 4-speed, indigo blue, etc. It has a lot of miles, 165k, but my Dad says the owner took care of it and that it runs perfect, so we will see I guess. The miles worry me, we had to do the valve seals in his S10 at 175k. I'll have pics over my next break.
Nothing specail, but it was cheap, and I think it's a good replacement for the S10.

My Dad likes the older, square body styles a lot more than the early 2000s round ones. Also the engine isn't so much a big deal, it is just an around town pickup. The 4.3 was bad becuz it just didn't have enough power, this has plenty. Also, did I say this was cheap?
