You DO shrink tube your solder connections, right?

I think the problem was that crimp connection. Those things are evil.

Yeah, it was the most likely culprit. I didn't want to use it in the first place but one of those grounds is like a 10 gauge wire and I couldn't get it hot enough with my shitty soldering iron. It was the only crimp on my car... all are solder joints now, and I don't seem to have any electrical gremlins left.
