WTB: cam gear lock rings

still lookin for a set of cam gear lock rings for my 91-93 3.4l DOHC.

only one yard remotely close to hear has that engine, and they will only sell the entire head/cam carrier assembly for $400 (i told them to fuck themselves).

Buy new ones. The lock rings wear out.

Or rather, don't buy them at all. You want the cone lock setup (94-95 cogs and associated hardware).

If you wish, I'll send you all 4 cogs, lock rings, bolts, and washers from the DOHC from my 88GT. They were surprisingly in pretty good shape, but I am unsure on the mileage. Make an offer. $400 would be cool...lol

You weren't being a pain... If anything you probably weren't riding me hard enough. That's not to say it may have gotten done earlier. I actually had to go rent a puller to get the fuckers off... Which I didn't anticipate, OR appreciate (That's right. FUCK YOU GM)

I tried everything I could think of, and finally broke down and spent the coin.

Don't worry about it, I needed the puller for something else anyway...

My biggest mistake was underestimating what a fucking fiasco it is to get them off...

Seriously? Change up to the 94+ splitrings...

Yah they are a bitch to get off, even with a puller!

Pullers are free to rent down here though, and I took mine off to switch to 94-95 cogs anyways. The rings are actually easy to get out though, that is, once the cog is off :salute:
