Autocross 7-1-06

Post by Dough19 »

Well I thought I would share some pics from the event yesterday. The 325lb front springs make the car really low especially with the race rubber. After the event I found that the tires barely rubbed the wheel well liner. I really wish I had the stock ride height, but they made the springs wrong.

Who made your springs?

Did you get a thumbs up from the Viper driver? :thumbleft:

Well I had the springs made at Coil Spring Specialties after hearing about them on the Racing list. I ordered them in late Feb. and it took until the beginning of June for them to be done. When I ordered I told them I just wanted the 325lb rate, stock ride height. Somehow they got the order wrong and made them for a 1" drop. So when I finally got the springs I noticed that on the box it said 1" drop on it and then called them up. They said they could "fix" them to normal ride height if I sent them back so I did. Just from me guessing, I would bet the car is 1-1.5" lower than it was before the springs. I should have measured the car before I changed the springs, but I didn't.

thumbs?? Ha ha, no. But when I first got there the guy came over and was asking questions about my car, what I had done to it, etc. Even noticed the strut relocation for the 88 cradle.
